DIRECTOR FINANCE
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, South Asia’s premier business school is looking
for dynamic, experienced and result-oriented candidates for the position of Director Finance. The incumbent
will be responsible for overall financial management, planning, treasury, accounting and budgeting activities
and also managing the allocation of project-based funds in accordance with the organization’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities
. Oversee financial management, budget, allocation of project-based funds, financial policies and procedures,
treasury operations in line with legislation, policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting
principles
. Management of taxation and corporate law related matters
. Financial reporting to the Management and the Board
. Facilitate external auditors to ensure that they can carry out their duties effectively
. Preparation, submission and implementation of annual budgets
. Devise and implement effective cost control mechanisms
. Establish, evaluate, implement and monitor internal controls and produce financial and operating data
required by the management for long-term and day-to-day operations and decisions
Qualifications and Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA)
. Ten years post qualification experience out of which 5 years should be as Senior Manager or Head of
Finance in a reputable organization
. Strong accounting skills, knowledge of audits, planning and budgeting, and computerized accounting
Le. ERP
. Well versed with International Financial Reporting Standards, understanding of corporate law, preparing
annual accounts, and staying involved in Projects feasibility reports
. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, presentation, report writing and team building skills
