SENIOR MANAGER IT
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, South Asia’s premier Business School is continuously upgrading its
ICT infrastructure. We are looking for a result-oriented, proactive and dynamic team player for the position of Senior Manager IT.
This role involves operational management of the Information Technology System, Technical Leadership for dissemination
of the best practices in existing CT infrastructure, and formulation & implementation of a campus wide Disaster Recovery
Plan. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the supervision of Assets Management. ICT Helpdesk, ICT Procurement.
System Audits, Troubleshooting and Hardware Management of the Tier III Data Center in line with IBA’s present and future
strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
. Improving service delivery with respect to deployment of systems infrastructure and provisioning of multiple ICT
assets; ensuring consistent risk management, change management, monitoring, and incident response in the Data
Center
. Providing leadership to the Data Center Support team with a broad set of responsibilities; managing tactical and strategic
activities with a focus on continuous improvement
. Participating, designing, coordinating and supervising development and build-out of future Data Center expansions,
whilst maintaining the functionality of the existing facility
. Executing standards for Data Centers, including capacity planning, 24x7 operations, and Data Center equipment
inventory accuracy
•Supervising operational initiatives and infrastructure projects such as enterprise-wide storage administration,
implementation of new infrastructure services/tools and systems monitoring
. Maintaining necessary security measures to ensure that systems are secure from data loss or misuse and implement
a consistent approach for the backup and archiving of data
.Working alongside service teams to monitor all key management systems to ensure that any physical or
hardware problems are rapidly dealt with and any defects remedied in a proactive manner
. Overseeing the administration and maintenance of the ICT infrastructure; assist in the planning, implementation and
modification in the existing system
. Building and maintaining vendor relationships and managing the procurement of hardware and software products to
ensure that assets are maintained responsibly
. Overseeing Help Desk activities in both campuses and identifying issues. Responsible for overall administration
and maintenance of our help desk tracking system
Requirements:
Masters in Computer Sciences with at least 5 years of relevant experience or Bachelor in Computer Sciences with minimum
7 years of relevant experience supplemented with international certifications in Information Technology or Data Center
Management would be preferred
. Broad knowledge of Information Technology processing systems, modern computing and network technologies
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational and analytical skills and a proven ability to perform as
a team player with proactive approach in decision making and problem solving
