National Coordinator, National Stop rransmission of Polio (N-STOP) Project
Reporting to the Resident Advisor as a member of the Pakistan’s FELTP team, the consJltant will provide technical advice and
leadership forcoordinating the implementation of N-STOP in hig-riskdistricts of Pakistan. The incumbent shall maintain strong hnes
of communication with the concerned federal and provincial health departments. WHO. UNICEF and other partners to strategically
align the N-STOP implementation within the overall national strategy for Polio eradication. The task shaN involve lacilitacing training.
monitoring and keeping track of the progress of assnees in the concerned districts. Besides this, the consultant shall also provide
lechnícal inputs to the EPI and district health management teams for improving surveiilance and the quality of immunization
campaigns as required from time to time.
Required Q u al if j cations & Experience
i. Basic Medical degree along with Postgraduate Qualification in Public Heallh/ Field Epidemiology. ii. Epidemiology skills with
experience in data analysis software. iii. Field experience of working on disease detection and surveillance including EPI / PEI.
iv. Experience with program coordination and management. y. Strong working knowledge al Pakistan government functions:
preferably senior level job experience in federal /provincial health departments. vi. Excellent communication in English, including
reading and writing. vii. Proflciency in local Pakistani languages, particularly Pushto, would be an advantage. viii. Physically fitand
willing totravelextensivelywithin Pakistan and abroad as required. ix. Budgeting and budge: planning epenence preferred.
