REQUIRED FOR
KING EDWARD MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
Government of Punjab. Health Department, is looking for a qualified and
Experienced Medical Education professional for the position of Vice
Chancellor. King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore. The KEMU is
more than 150 Years old institution that is acclaimed as a Center of Excellence
and is one of the L3est seats of learning in the field of Medical Education in the
World. Alumni of the Institution arc spread across the globe with a universal
recognition of academic brilliance and professional competence.
The candidate should possess the following minimal
attributes
* Distinguished reputation as a Scholar and academician in Medical field.
having exposure to international best practices with respect to academic
functions both in classroom teaching and research (clinical and non-clinical)
* Experience in managing high level Medical Education Institutions
* Capability and experience in resource mobilization
* Leadership qualities for policy making in relation to efficient and effective
management of all affairs of the University
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
* Should have an MBBS along with an FCPS (Pakistan) ¡ Membership of
Royal Colleges (UK) / Diplomat of American Board or equivalent National
or International Terminal qualifications (as determined by the PM&DC
¡HEC) in the clinical/non clinical Medical Sciences. Should not be more
than 65 years of age on 05-04-2012
* Should preferably have vast experience in undergraduate and postgraduate
Medical teaching including experience in administrative and Financial Management
* Should have to his/her credit quality research publications in journals of
international repute

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Tenure: Shall hold the office (luring the pleasure of Chancellor / Governor for
a term not exceeding four years.
Pay & other perquisites, allowances: The post shall be totally
non-practicing. The pay package shall be negotiable
