Ii CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The University of Sindh is the oldest public University of
Pakistan and was established on April 3, 1947, It is located at
a hilly area on the right side of the Indus River at a distance of
1 5 kms from Hyderabad and is spread over 8000 acres of
land. It lies between Mehran University of Engineering &
Technology and the Liaquat University of Medical & Health
Science - the education city area of Jamshoro. The University
of Sindh is offering degree programs ¡n 54 disciplInes as well
as M.Phil/Ph.D. degrees programs in various disciplines, the
University offers 5 years LLB program and L.L.M. degree
under the Institute of Law, Hydera bad.
It has 20,000 regular students enroll in the University, 50,000
students from affiliated colleges arid 30000 students who
appear privately for annual exam, i.e. it imparts education
and conducts examinations for over 100,000 students every
year on its various campuses including those at Mirpurkhas
and Badin.
Applications are invited for the posts of(1) Director Campus
Security (on contract), University of Sindh.
The University of Siridh is currently seeking applications for
the position of Director Campus Security.
The individual we are seeking should have at least a Master’s
degree or an equivalent academic qualification and must
have Army retired Colonel/ Major as well as substantial and
demonstrably successful management experience and the
vision and commitment necessary to play a key role in the
University’s development. This position requires excellent
leadership, management, communication, and interpersonal
skills. The incumbent should have the ability to establish
strong communication channels and maintain effective
relationships with the faculty, administrative staff and
external agencies. He should have the ability to interpret,
respond to and apply University, national and other policies
which pertain to the academic functions of the University. A
track record of establishing academic information systems
and providing leadership in the use of technology in this area
would be advantageous. Experience in higher education and
academic administration on developing countries would be
preferred.
