Vice Chancellor
The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) is Pakistan’s leading research and teaching
institution in economics and other related social sciences. Established in 1957 as an autonomous research
organization, the Institute was granted charter as degree awarding and specialized research institution in
2010. The PIDE is successfully running Ph.D, M.Phil and MSc programs in all areas of Economics, Business,
Public Policy and related fields.
The PIDE is seeking to recruit Vice Chancellor who will have the vision, skills, innovative thinking and
leadership qualities to provide direction to become a globally renowned research and educational institute.
The Vice Chancellor will also be responsible for all administrative and academic functions of the Institute.
The successful candidate must possess PhD degree in economics along with an outstanding record of
leadership in academic or research organizations. S/he will have at least fifteen years of research/teaching
experience with excellent interpersonal and networking skills at the national and international level.
An attractive salary package would be offered. The duration of appointment is normally 3 years but can be fixed
on mutual agreement.
